Hi, I’m Imagen Elam,

I hope this letter finds you well as I share some exciting news!

Next June 3-20, 2025, I have the opportunity to go to Ghana, West Africa with a small group of students and faculty from my school, Boyd Buchanan. As you know, I am a sophomore and while I am invested in my education and my athletics, my true passion is to serve others. This mission trip is an opportunity for me to travel and truly serve to make a difference.

While we are in Ghana, we will be traveling to two places;

The Village of Hope

The Village provides care and education to over two hundred children. These children have been rescued from a life of poverty in Ghana. While they are given resources there, we are able to bring new supplies, new energy and a new way to know God. We will read to them, teach them songs, practice good hygiene, and do projects to help relieve some of the poverty stricken conditions. We have also been invited to work in the hospital NICU, schools, and nursery's there.

We will also travel to The Pearl House.

The Pearl House is a home for girls ages 8-18 who have been taken off the streets and provided a home. These girls are given a community where they can grow their knowledge of life after The Pearl. Our work there entails many service projects. My hope is to connect and foster deep relationships with these girls so that I can leave them with skills and a hopeful future.

We will also visit different villages to provide school supplies and share Jesus’ word with the communities there. With some of our donations, we are able to collect or purchase much needed clothing, shoes, sports equipment, school supplies, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies for these communities!

Please pray for our team on this journey. Pray that our trip be a safe an inspiring venture and that our work help better the communities we visit.

As you can imagine, a trip of this magnitude is incredibly expensive. Which is why I am reaching out for your help.

If you can provide any financial contribution towards my mission, I promise to be a good steward of these funds. I am looking to raise $4000 to cover the cost of the trip, which includes flights, meals, work expenses, and supplies. Any amount is greatly appreciated - big or small - it goes a long way to get me where I'm going!

When we return from Ghana

I will post photos from the trip and an update on my mission work. I will also speak to my perspective on this life-changing experience! Thank you for your prayers and support of the work I wish to do in this world! If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thank You, Imagen
